What types of illnesses are most common for hospice care patients?
Patients who are eligible for hospice generally have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness that estimates they have six months or less to live. Some of the most common conditions are (but not limited to):
- AIDS/HIV
- Alzheimer’s Disease or Other Dementias
- Cancer
- Diabetes
- Heart Disease
- Kidney or Liver Failure
